Two types of data about visitors and users are associated with internet use and subscriptions to online and regular mail newsletters. The first type is personal identification data, consisting of your name, email address, telephone number, and regular mail address. We request such personal data when you subscribe to our Sweet Nutrition News newsletter. The second type of data is internet-user information relating to your use of the internet to reach websites and download web pages and software -- your IP address, browser type, domain name, access times and referring Web site address. Such data may be useful for tracking website activity and analyzing operational errors. This internet-user data is available automatically during ordinary internet operations, and may be collected during website visits, or during registration on websites. At present we look only at composite website usage statistics available to all webmasters, and ignore other internet-user data. Thus, in sum, we collect personal data and only some of the available internet-user data. This Privacy Policy applies to both types of data, but only that concerning your receipt of our newsletter and your access of our websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information you may, as an internet user, provide to third parties you reach from our websites via weblinks on our websites, and not affiliated with Sweet Nutrition News and His Place Enterprises. Any information users give to another party is governed by the rules of that party's privacy policy, which may differ from this Privacy Policy. Note that using a weblink provided in Sweet Nutrition News and our websites provides, to the linked party, information concerning your point of origin in reaching that weblinked site. Sweet Nutrition News and His Place Enterprises are not responsible for that and similar information given to other parties. Please review their privacy policies prior to providing any information to third parties.

Personal data collected by other companies via the internet has typically been used to generate and display custom, personalized content to website visitors, and to send various other information, newsletters, emails, features, promotional material, surveys and other updates to users. Some of this distribution is with user permission, but some of it is spam. At present we have no intention to use any personal data we collect for any legitimate distributions, nor do we envision any plans to do so in the future. If our intention changes and plans are prepared for use of collected personal data in legitimate ways for such distributions, we will notify users in advance, and users will be able to, at any time, opt out of receiving such distributions. Such notice will be provided in this Privacy Policy by means of amendments in the text, and notification of an impending change in this Privacy Policy will be placed in the Sweet Nutrition News and on the websites. Such a change may be made at any time by Sweet Nutrition News and His Place Enterprises. We do presently allow a limited amount of advertising and associated weblinks in our newsletter. We may in the future give you the opportunity to opt in to offers via such advertising from third parties, some affiliated and some not affiliated with Sweet Nutrition News and His Place Enterprises. If you decide to accept offers from any non-affiliated parties, you do so independently of any relation to Sweet Nutrition News and His Place Enterprises. We will not provide any of your personal data to such non-affiliated third parties. We do use collected data to evaluate and administer our service, to respond to any problems that may arise, and to gauge user trends to determine what part of our services are most popular with users. We will never give out your personal data at any time without your permission. Consequently, although Sweet Nutrition News and His Place Enterprises may receive a fee from advertising partners for extending offers, Sweet Nutrition News and His Place Enterprises will send notification of all offers in such a way that your personal data is not shared with any outside third party without your permission. We may, at times, produce reports for advertisers containing aggregate information about our users such as demographic, and online usage information. This allows us to work more closely with advertisers to provide content and offers that are most relevant to our users. We will never include any personal data of our users in these reports. We may in the future allow users of our websites to send articles or links by email to other parties who may be interested in them. We will not retain any email addresses (except yours if you are a newsletter subscriber) of either the sender or recipient of such articles or links after they are sent. We reserve the right to use or disclose any information without notice or consent as needed to satisfy any law, regulation or obligatory legal request; to conduct investigations of consumer complaints or possible breaches of law; to protect the integrity of our websites and our property; to protect the safety of our visitors or others; to fulfill your requests; or to cooperate in any legal investigation. You should be aware that if you voluntarily disclose and display any information on web pages (whether through Sweet Nutrition News, our websites, or any other of our services that may become available online), personal or otherwise, that information can be collected and used by others. For example, if you use chat, forums, bulletin boards, your email, or if you post personal information online, you may receive unsolicited messages from others. Sweet Nutrition News and His Place Enterprises have no control over this use of your personal information.

Some website pages and email messages created by other parties may contain electronic images known as Web beacons, which are also called Web bugs or single-pixel GIFs. Embedded and therefore "hidden" in the HTML and similar coding that retrieves an image for display on screen, the Web beacon's extra coding enables information retrieval from, or deposit on, your computer. In general, any electronic image viewed as part of a web page, including an ad banner, can act as a Web beacon. Advertising services that provide ads commonly use Web beacons in their advertisements. Both the websites using those services and the advertisers employ the Web beacons to help both groups determine the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. Web beacons allow their creators to count users who have visited image-bearing pages and to deliver co-branded services. Some parties also may include Web beacons in promotional email messages or newsletters in order to count how many messages have been opened and acted upon. Web beacons, when used, do not access your personal identification data, but do collect internet-user data. They can also be used to access cookies on your computer. They are a technique used to compile aggregated statistics about website usage. Web beacons typically collect only a limited set of information, including a cookie number, time and date of a page view, and a description of the page on which the Web beacon resides. However, unscrupulous parties can arrange for them to extract other information from the computer of a visitor to a web site, or even from a viewer of an email message. Sweet Nutrition News and His Place Enterprises do not and will not use Web beacons.
