Head, Remote Sensing Center: Development, coordination, and expansion of remote sensing activities of the Institute to meet internal and external user needs: All types of aerial photography, satellite data acquisition, imagery data reduction, mapping, and interactive computer processing. In 1977, appointed by the Director as the VIMS contact for all matters concerning remote sensing.

 

1977-1978. Spokesman for VIMS in Commonwealth of Virginia program planning for remote sensing and Virginia Resource Information System (including testimony before state agencies and legislative committees, and staff assistance for testimony and documents given U.S. Senate committee hearing on S657).

 

1980-1984. Commonwealth of Virginia Data Base. Assigned responsibility to supervise implementation and development of Landsat land cover mapping capability for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Completed projects for regional planning districts.
